Today I enrolled in a massage course. It was a real spur of the moment decision. I only thought about it this morning. Rang tafe, found out that the course started today, rang centrelink and found out that they'll pay for most of the course and then went and enrolled.
It's only part time (one day a week) but it's going to be wierd leaving my 18mth old DD for a whole day.
AND I hope my brain still works :giggle
But I'm excited at studying again and at having a whole day every week to myself (even if I'll be studying)
And the best thing is that DP is going to take Thursdays off every week so he can look after the kids :joystars

How cool! I'd also offer myself for you to practice on, and I am sure I'd be MUCH less a distraction than Mz Green!

Thanks everyone. I'm sure I'll have heaps of people offering to be my guineapig for massages :giggle
I'm a bit nervous and hope I'm not the only mature aged person in the class.

That's awesome A. I loved doing my massage course. It was also the first time I had left my son and I missed him but also loved the freedom of doing something kid free. I really liked how we had to practice on each other to learn. I found the exams a strain because it had been so long since I'd studied but it all came back to me in no time. One day after almost 4 hours of massage (our big exam was coming up) he announced there really was a limit to how much massagine one can take. I havent' practice as a therapist for 13 years but I still use it every week - massage is a skill for life. BTW there were mostly mature students in my course.

It's going well. I'm missing my little DD but she doesn't seem to be missing me as much :upsidedown
The course has got about 50 % older students which is good :joystars
Had my first A and P exam yesterday and got 98%...I'm such a nerd :giggle
